We count visits, not people.
This is the privacy notice for the gaia-agent.com website, not the Gaia agent you run yourself. The site uses privacy-first, cookieless analytics so we can see what is useful and what is broken, without building a profile of you.
What we measure

| Referrer | The site or link that sent you here (for example a search engine or a post). |
| Approximate region | Country or region, derived at request time. Your IP address is never stored. |
| Device basics | Browser, operating system, and screen size bucket, so the layout can be tested where it matters. |
| Clicks on key buttons | Anonymous counts of actions like "Star on GitHub" or "Read the docs". No text you type is collected. |
Everything above is aggregate. There is no cross-site tracking, no advertising network, no fingerprinting, and nothing that identifies you as an individual.
The tool
Umami, by design.
Analytics run through Umami, an open-source, privacy-focused analytics tool. It does not use cookies and does not collect personal data, which is why you did not have to click through a consent banner to read this site.
The script only loads on the live site. It is a single lightweight file and does not follow you anywhere else.
Why there is no cookie banner
Consent banners exist because most analytics store cookies and personal data. This site does neither, so under GDPR and ePrivacy rules there is nothing to consent to. We would rather show you the site than a pop-up.

Gaia is open source and this site is too. If something here is unclear, or you want a measurement removed, open an issue on the repository.
